ACCOMMODATION

The Northern part of Lake Garda is situated just across the Austrian border in the province of Trentino and is the destination if you feel like an active hioliday and want to enjoy nature, culture and the Italian way of life.

The unique Mediterranean atmosphere, the impressive lake views and the mild, summery climate form the basis of many successful holidays. Owing to the ORA, a wind that starts every day at the same time, it has been a meeting place for water sports enthusiasts from all over the world for many years. But the varied and breathtakingly beautiful mountains around the Northern bank of Lake Garda beg to be seen and admired. Forests, glaciers, waterfalls, exotic plants and idyllic vineyards. Alternating with picturesque villages, fascinating castles and ancient country estates. A colourful chain of unique views and a true paradise for practising active sports, both in summer and in winter!

Malga Zanga
The Malga Zanga country estate, the homebase for your holiday, is situated in these natural surroundings. Where the quality of life is honoured. Where you can find real quiet. Where horses graze, a sheep observes you with amazement and a tired hiker comes to enjoy a refreshing drink. Villagers and experienced cyclists also find their way to the country estate, for a caffè al bar, an aperitivo or pasta al dente.
A country estate in the tradition of an ancient Malga, with attention to nature, sustainability
and honest produce from the region. With the
fine and totally renovated country house offering all the mod cons that a contemporary guest might wish for. With an eye for atmosphere and a feel for hospitality.

Did you know, by the way, that a Malga was originally a country estate in the higher regions where farmers went in summer to graze their cows? For the simple reason that only there, in the rocky mountainous landscape that is so typical of this region, there was still enough space. Many of these Malghe have meanwhile been proclaimed protected landscapes, which
are maintained with the aid of the province and the municipality, because of their natural, cultural and recreational value.

For gourmets …
A ‘malga’ is also an Italian cheese produced in the mountains with an agreeable, somewhat pungent taste and a slightly bitter aftertaste.

The mountain Monte Velo
Full of atmosphere and inviting The country estate is situated on the mountain Monte Velo (1155 meters) and is part of the municipality of Arco, only 50 kilometers from the opera city Verona. Arco is a delightful little town, famous for its magnificent facilities for climbing and hiking.
With intimate little shops, a fine village square,
a splendid botanical garden a stately castle a various little bars and restaurants. In summer various free open-air concerts are organized in Arco and once a year there is a colourful street festival. In addition, in one of the narrow streets you will find the best ice cream parlour you could wish for … scrumptious!

The country house/hotel
This week you are staying at the attractive, totally renovated 8-bedroom country house at the Malga Zanga country estate, which is run by its Dutch owners. The rooms of the country house are spacious and comfortable, all having their own toilet and shower and a view of the magnificent mountains.

The 20,000- m2 country estate offers plenty of opportunities for an afternoon of lazing about or enjoying the Italian sunshine. Outside and inside the country house there are various attractive seating arrangements you can retire to. For some time to yourself or together with fellow-travellers who become friends. Transportation, too, is perfectly arranged during this week; for all the trips, there is a shuttle bus at your disposal.

Find out for yourself; a holiday at the Malga Zanga country estate has everything to offer
for a successful holiday.

You are most cordially welcome!
